Cabbage Soup

    Dice the onion and celery, finely dice the carrots, chop the broccoli, mince the garlic, and shred the cabbage. 2. Saute the onion, celery, carrots, and broccoli in oil about 5 minutes. 3. Mix in the garlic, thyme, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes for a minute. 4. Add the bay leaves, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, and lentils; cover and bring to a boil. 5. Reduce to a simmer, add the cabbage in batches, and cook 20-25 minutes until everything is tender. 6. Stir in the lime juice, adjust seasonings, and serve warm.
