    Rinse the red lentils thoroughly, then soak in plenty of water for at least 2 hours. 2. Drain, then blend the lentils with fresh water and garlic until completely smooth. 3. Preheat the oven to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C); stir the spices and freshly ground flax seeds into the batter. 4. Grate the carrot, chop the chives, and add along with baking powder, baking soda, and apple cider vinegar. 5. Stir, transfer to a parchment-lined muffin tin, and bake 25-30 minutes until golden. 6. Cool on a rack before serving.
